Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Your phone number, submitted when you join a campaign
• Which campaigns you've pledged to and when
• Whether your phone number has been verified via SMS

We do not collect your name, email address, location, IP address, or any browsing data.

How we use it

• To verify your identity via a one-time SMS code, ensuring each pledge represents a real person
• To record and deduplicate your campaign pledges
• To count collective participation toward campaign thresholds

We do not send marketing messages. The only SMS you'll receive from us is the verification code you requested.

Third-party services

We use two services to operate the platform:

• Twilio — delivers your verification SMS. Your phone number is transmitted to Twilio solely for that purpose. Twilio Privacy Policy →

We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your data with any other third parties.

Data retention

We retain your phone number and pledge records to maintain accurate campaign counts. Records are not automatically deleted. You can request deletion at any time (see below).

Your rights

You can request access to or deletion of your data at any time by emailing critmass.support@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days. Include the phone number associated with your account in your request.

Security

Data is stored in Airtable using token-based API access. We do not store payment information or passwords. No sensitive personal information beyond your phone number is collected.

Children

CritMass is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
